Website & Order Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit this website or purchase a product from The Yellow Door Atelier (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Products

Our pieces are individually painted and finished by hand. Small variations in color, brushwork, pattern, placement, texture, and finish are part of their handmade character and are not considered defects.

We aim to describe and photograph each piece as accurately as possible. However, colors may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting, and surroundings, and photographs may not perfectly represent scale. Dimensions, materials, finishes, and other product-specific information shown on the relevant product page form part of your order.

Because many pieces are individually made or finished, availability may be limited.

Orders and Payment

Prices are shown in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Shipping charges and applicable taxes will be shown during checkout before payment.

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. An order is accepted when payment has been successfully processed and we issue an order confirmation.

We reserve the right to cancel an order and issue a refund if, for example, a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or product-information error, payment cannot be processed, or fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected.

Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled once preparation, packaging, customization, or shipping has begun.

Custom, personalized, commissioned, or made-to-order pieces may not be cancellable once work has started, as stated on the relevant product page or agreed with you when the order is placed.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping costs and available delivery options are shown during checkout or described in our Shipping & Returns information.

Any dispatch or delivery dates provided are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by carriers, weather, customs, incorrect delivery information, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occur.

Please check your delivery address carefully when placing your order. We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.

Our Shipping & Returns page and any shipping terms shown on the relevant product page also apply to your order.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order after delivery. If an item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us promptly at gemmadunjo@gmail.com and include your order number and photographs of the item and packaging.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, repair, refund, or other reasonable solution.

Do not discard damaged products or packaging until we have reviewed your claim, as the shipping carrier may require photographs or the original packaging.

Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Shipping & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms.

Unless otherwise required by law, custom, personalized, commissioned, or made-to-order products may be excluded from returns or exchanges where this is stated before purchase.

Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Product Use and Care

Our products should be used only for their intended purpose and in accordance with any care, installation, bulb, electrical, or safety instructions supplied with the product or shown on the product page.

For lighting products, always use bulbs that meet the specifications and maximum wattage stated for the fixture. Do not modify electrical components or use a product if its cord, plug, socket, wiring, or other electrical component appears damaged.

Where professional installation is recommended or required, installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified person.

Hand-painted and decorative finishes may be affected by excessive heat, moisture, abrasive cleaners, chemicals, impacts, or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Follow the care instructions provided with your product.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the artwork, painted designs, photographs, illustrations, text, branding, logos, graphics, and other original content appearing on this website are owned by or licensed to The Yellow Door Atelier.

You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, manufacture from, distribute, modify, sell, commercially exploit, or use our artwork, designs, photographs, or other content without our prior written permission.

Purchasing a physical product does not transfer copyright or other intellectual-property rights in its artwork or design.

Website Use

You agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, submit fraudulent orders, introduce malicious software, scrape or systematically extract website content, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

We may update, correct, suspend, or discontinue parts of the website when reasonably necessary.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party providers to operate parts of our website and services, including payment processing, shipping, analytics, and other ecommerce functions.

Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Yellow Door Atelier will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of this website or our products.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Privacy

Personal information collected through this website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time you place an order will generally apply to that order.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when these terms were most recently revised.

Governing Law

These terms and purchases made through this website are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
